Have you ever made a promise you really didn’t think you’d have to keep? You know--something you say in passing that you’ll do someday, but you’re not exactly making a sincere commitment to do it.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
What comes to mind when you think of an extravagant life? Do you imagine a person living a rich, opulent, or excessive lifestyle; one that is over-the-top and outrageously lavish? How does that make you feel? Is your covetous nature screaming, “I want what they have!”? Take heart.
